(KAJO-KEJI COUNTY) – Community leaders and landlords in Kajo-Keji County have allocated a new piece of land for the construction of a permanent County Headquarters.
Speaking on behalf of the landlords, Peter Losio said the decision was driven by the need to support government institutions and establish a lasting administrative center for both present and future generations. He expressed confidence that the project will improve governance and accelerate development in the county.
The Head Chief of Kangapo Two Payam, who attended the land allotment ceremony, welcomed the initiative, describing it as a major milestone that reflects strong cooperation between the community and the local government. He added that the headquarters is expected to attract more development projects and improve access to public services.
Paramount Chief of Kajo-Keji County, Fadil Kenyi Tete, commended the landlords for what he called a selfless contribution. He emphasized the importance of supporting initiatives that benefit the wider population and reaffirmed the commitment of traditional leaders to promoting peace, unity, and development.
Speaking at the project site on Monday, County Commissioner Wani Jackson Mule expressed gratitude to the landlords and traditional leaders for their generosity. He described the land donation as a sign of unity, patriotism, and shared responsibility.
“The allocation of this land marks a new chapter in the history of our county. It reflects the spirit of cooperation between government and traditional institutions. This future headquarters will serve as a center for effective administration and service delivery,” said Commissioner Mule.
Commissioner Mule added that the new headquarters will improve coordination among government departments and pledged to work with partners and the community to ensure the project is successfully completed.
