(JUBA/TEREKEKA) – The Mundari Cultural Festival Committee, led by Chairman Bush Buse, has extended an honorary invitation to Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony to attend the upcoming cultural celebration scheduled from 16th to 18th January in Terekeka County.
The committee briefed state leadership on the event, calling attention to its focus on showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Mundari Community, one of the tribes of Central Equatoria State. The festival also aims to promote a culture of peace and unity, as it is expected to draw participants from different communities across the region.
In response, Governor Adil praised the committee for organising an event that reflects peaceful coexistence and social harmony. He emphasised the importance of the Mundari Community continuing to embrace peaceful cultural practices and pledged his full support to the festival.
Governor Adil noted that the festival is timely, as promoting unity and cultural preservation is essential for strengthening the social fabric and supporting development in the state.
The event was also attended by former First Deputy Mayor for Finance and Administration, Diplomat Mogga Franco Lo-Wani, who expressed appreciation for the initiative and its role in promoting inter-community dialogue and understanding.
